ElodieBot: An Elegant Financial Banking Chatbot - TriHeritage Piedmont Bank

I worked with a fictional regional institution, TriHeritage Piedmont Bank, to design an early prototype of a customer-facing financial chatbot. The bank is known for its refined yet down-to-earth service style, and leadership wanted to explore how an AI assistant could extend that experience while helping customers navigate general financial questions and the bank’s offerings. My contribution focused on developing the initial conversational flows, defining core system instructions, and building multiple prototype iterations in Python using LangGraph SDK and LangChain support for the Gemini API. Each iteration tested a different capability—from a simple single-turn chatbot to a looping conversational agent, a dynamic information menu, appointment handling logic, and finally a Gradio app demo. The aim of the project is to give the bank a realistic framework for evaluating chatbot feasibility, customer experience alignment, and potential future automation opportunities.
