I collaborated with healthcare data analysts and clinical operations teams at Gilead Sciences to investigate disparities in how quickly metastatic cancer is diagnosed across diverse patient groups. Using a comprehensive patient dataset, I evaluated demographic, socioeconomic, environmental, and healthcare access factors to understand what may delay timely cancer identification. This work supports health equity initiatives by highlighting structural barriers that impact early detection. The insights are designed to help healthcare providers, insurers, and public health organizations improve screening strategies, strengthen outreach, and advance equitable access to cancer care. The accompanying Python code includes dataset creation, exploratory data analysis, variable selection, train–test splitting, and model evaluation using decision tree and histogram-based gradient boosting regressors.
